The project
This is a hobby project conceived, developed and maintained by me, Dmitry Grechka <dmitry at grechka.family>.

The Model
Current underlying model label is B1 (early_stearly_stop-15512)
It uses a series of convolution layers that pass the convolved data into single LSTM layer followed by fully-connected output layer.
The models LSTM cell operates at frequency of 20Hz in time domain. Thus the network updates its "opinion" about bird presence 20 times in a second while "listening" to a bird sound recording.
Estimated (validation set) accuracy of the model is 75.55% (multiclass cross entropy loss is 0.905).
The previous model A2 had validation accuracy of 69% (multicalss cross entropy loss is 1.18)
Terms of Usage
As the service is a hobby project, produced results and the service itself is provided "as is ", without warranty of any kind.
The automated service query is prohibited. If you need to query the service in automated manner (programmaticaly), please contact me.
If you are interested in using (ot improving) the service or underlying neural network model in your research, work, education, non-profit project, etc. please contact me as well. I will be happy to cooperate with you.
The service saves your requests (your audio recording) anonymously (the metadata: the original file name, who uploaded the data, from what location and from where is not stored) to enable result URL sharing.
